Madhya Pradesh Pre-Polytechnic Test (MP PPT 2017) exam date was revised by the Professional Examination Board (PEB or VYAPAM). The exam will now be conducted on 18th June as the initial date was pushed back by a week. The candidates who have applied for the test can download MP PPT admit card 2017 from the official website wwww.vyapam.nic.in.
VYAPAM will be holding the MP PPT exam 2017 in multiple test centers across 18 cities. The candidates can get to know their allotted test city and venue details through MP PPT admit card. As the exam was scheduled to be held on 10th June, the admit cards were issued on 1st June. Through a press note issued on 7th June, PEB announced the change in PPT exam date. Those candidates who have already downloaded MP PPT 2017 admit card do not need to worry as only the exam date is changed, while the remaining details including test venue remains same.
Professional Examination Board, Bhopal holds the Pre-Polytechnic Test (PPT) each year for facilitating merit-based admissions in 2-year, 3-year & 4-year Engineering Diploma courses being offered at the Polytechnic Colleges across the State. In 2016, there were only 10,870 seats in Polytechnics and as much as 77,759 candidates had applied. With the government focusing more on the growth of Polytechnics, there are 28,316 seats available for admissions in the academic year 2017-18. The addition of some branches has also results in the increase of seats.
MP PPT 2017 notification was rolled out on April 28 and the application process closed on May 12. Keeping the schedule intact, PEB had also issued the admit cards on May 1. All the candidates are required to carry MP PPT admit card 2017 while reporting to their respective exam center. The reporting time will be 90 minutes before the commencement of exam. The candidates are required to report to the exam center in time as the entries will be closed 30 minutes after the reporting time and no one will be allowed entry after that.
The candidates will have to carry a Black Ball Point Pen, MP PPT admit card and one photo id proof to establish their identity. Biometric attendance will be taken at all the exam centers which will also be used during the admission time. During the exam, the candidates must refrain from carrying mobile phone, calculator, log tables, electronic devices or any such prohibited items.
MP PPT 2017 exam will be conducted as a single paper having 150 multiple choice questions. The question paper will be divided in three sections: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Each section will have 50 questions and will carry 50 marks. The candidates securing the minimum cut off marks in the entrance exam will be included in the common merit list based on the aggregate marks.
