The Madhya Pradesh Professional examination board, last month had advertised 9235 Patwari vacancies in MP. Those applicants who are eligible and interested, may apply online on the official website of Vyapam (Madhya Pradesh). The online application submission which began from October 28, will end today on November 15. The date was extended from previously set November 11.
The exam will be conducted online on December 09 and 31, 2017.
The application fee for the candidates belonging to UR /OBC, SC, ST category is INR 500 while those belonging to Handicapped category have to pay INR 250. The exam is only for the Madhya Pradesh domiciled candidates. The first shift of the exam will be held from 9 am to 11 am while the second shift will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm.
The questions in the MP Patwari exam will be based on general knowledge, general mathematics, Hindi, Indian rural economy and Panchayati Raj, and computer knowledge. Total marks will be 100. 25 questions will be asked in each segment. Maximum marks for each segment is 25.
This is the same exam that was to be held in the month of March 2017 but was postponed for the Revenue Department has failed to provide the necessary details. The department wanted to conduct the exam initially in the month of December 2016. But, as the revenue department did not have enough information on the number of vacancies, the exam had to be postponed. At that time, the exam was to be conducted for 9,000 vacant seats.
The exam will select 985 patwaris for 5 regions of MP, they are Satna, Reeva, seedhi, singrauli and Panna. While the highest number of patwari 304 will be selected for Satna region, the lowest will be for Reeva. This will speed up the resolving of revenue cases in MP. The government has amended the eligibility criteria for new recruitment. Now the district wise recruitment will be done. Graduation is the lowest qualification instead of Class 12. Although concession is also available in the way that candidates will not be required to pass the CPCT. However, the selected candidates are required to acquire computer skills in the span of 2 years.
According to the information, the government has decided to fill all the vacant positions of the patwaris to improve the working condition of the revenue administration. The selected candidates will not get the appointment in the house tehsil.
