MP govt empowers School Exam Boards to transfer Education Department Officials

The Madhya Pradesh government has taken the decision to empower its school examination boards to transfer education department officials before crucial board exams. The decision has came in the wake of Vyapam and DMAT Scam that witnessed copying on large scale and rigging during the entrance exams that were conducted for admission into professional degree programs and led to the ordering of a CBI probe.

The announcement was made at a meeting which was held under the aegis of the BJP’s good governance cell in Delhi in which was present Education and Culture Ministers of nine BJP-ruled States along with Union Minister of Human and Resource Development, Smriti Irani and Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma.

However, as per the views of the BJP vice-president Vinay Sahasra Buddhe, the scheme was discussed in the meeting and it had got nothing to do with Vyapam. The scheme is meant only for the students of Class 10 and Class 12. But this initiative will soon be implemented as it will break down the copying cartels in the State.

Even the Jharkhand government’s scheme for education of the girl child titled “Pehle Padhai Phir Vidai” which particularly emphasize on completion of school education by every girl child has been mandatory to be adopted by the other states too.

Taking into consideration a new scheme launched by the Maharashtra Government, they have introduced career guidance for the candidates who do not clear their matriculation exams.

Chhattisgarh government’s Sarawati Cycle Yojana was also appreciated as the admission rose from 63 per cent to 95 per cent in the present academic session. Under this Yojana, bicycles were distributed to girl students so as to travel to and from home to schools and vice versa.

This year it will be 125th birth anniversary year of Bhimrao Ambedkar, the education ministers of the BJP ruled states have been asked to take care on making sure that the reserved quota for the Scheduled Caste students is filled.
