MHT CET result 2017 declared, check score on dtemaharashtra.gov.in

MHT CET result 2017 for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH CET 2017) was declared on June 3, 2017. DTE Maharashtra announced the MH CET result 2017 at mhtcet2017.dtemaharashtra.gov.in exactly at 5 pm. Check below for MHCET results 2017 link.

June 4, 2017 update: Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test‬ (MHT CET) cell, ‪Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra‬, has made the results available at 5 pm yesterday (June 3) but the official website remained inaccessible since then. The site worked sometimes in between, but so far a large number of candidates have been unable to check their MHT CET 2017 result. We have provided the link below for direct access. See if it works.

Directorate of Maharashtra (DTE) Maharashtra declared MHT CET 2017 result on it’s website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in for the students who took the entrance test on May 11, 2017. Students are now able to check their CET result 2017 today by login to the official website with their details.

MHT CET 2017DTE Maharashtra had conducted the MHT CET 2017 on 11th May for admission to undergraduate degree courses in Engineering/ Technology (B.E./ B.Tech) and Pharmacy (B.Pharma/ Pharm.D) being offered at government, government aided, university managed, university departments and unaided institutes. The online applications for the entrance test were submitted from February 14 to April 10, after an extension of last date from 23rd March.

The entrance test was comparatively easier than the previous years’. Most questions were conceptual and calculation/ application-based, as many students responded to the difficulty level of the test. Following the conduct of the entrance test, the provisional answer keys (official) were published online on May 26. With the publication of provisional answer keys, the students were also asked to submit the objections on question paper/ answer key. The window for online submission of objections closed on May 28. The scanned OMR answer sheets of all the candidates were also made available from 26th May.

Total 3,89,520 students had registered for the MHT CET 2017 and approximately 90 percent appeared in the test. Out of the registered candidates, 1.5 lakh took the test for both engineering and pharmacy courses, while rest 1.44 lakh were registered for engineering courses. Last year, around 1.3 lakh students had registered for engineering test. For Pharmacy entrance test, the DTE had recieved 95,545 applications. The total applications also included 25 registrations from Transgenders.

There are around 1,58,007 seats in engineering courses and 11,630 seats in Pharmacy courses on offer through MHT CET 2017. Out of 3,89,520 registered candidates, Pune accounted for maximum registrations with total 92,911 students. Other divisions registration count was 80,336 (Mumbai), 46,201 (Nashik), 45,487 (Nagpur), 32,908 (Aurangabad), 32,381 (Sangli), 32,170 (Amravati), and 27,126 from Nanded. Total 42,947 students appeared in MHT CET 2017 in Nagpur division out of 45,487 registered students.

In 2016, the entrance test was held on 5th May, while the results were declared on 1st June. This year, the result date was set as 4 June but is out a day earlier as the press note said yesterday, as per the schedule updated by DTE. Soon after the official declaration of MHT CET result, the students will be able to check the marks they have scored in each paper.

Meanwhile, DTE is going to open the online registration of application for admissions from June 5 to 17. The document verification of applicants will also be done during this window and the provisional merit list will be published on 19th June. The final merit list will be published on 22nd June along with the seat matrix for the first round of CAP.
