MHA IB JIO result 2016: Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has declared the results of it’s Intelligence Bureau (IB) Junior Intelligence Officer (JIO)/Grade II technical examination that was held on October 16, 2016. The details of Intelligence Bureau (IB) exam results can be viewed at the official website of MHA i.e.

The notification for this recruitment process was issued back in September 2016 to fill 320 posts of Junior Intelligence Officers under grade-II (technician) cadre. The applications process was carried out between September 3rd, 2016 to September 24th, 2016 and the written examination was held on October 16th, 2016. However, it was around five months before the results of this exam came out yesterday.

In a press note issued here on March 17, 2017, Ministry of Home Affairs said that the roll numbers/registration numbers of the candidates who have qualified the written test have been been uploaded at it’s website. The ministry uploaded a PDF which contains the write-up and the results.

The candidates who have been shortlisted will now have to appear for a trade test which is scheduled to be conducted on dates from April 10 to April 26, 2017. The call letters for trade test to the successful candidates will be sent via e-mail in few days informing them of the date, time and venue for  the trade test they have to appear for. The ministry will also send duly filled attestation form and SSQ in triplicate via e-mail which candidates also have to bring at the time of the trade test.

The results in the PDF have been displayed roll number wise and not in the order of merit to ease the access for the candidates. Candidates can view the PDF here and check if their roll number is there.

While the written test of October 16 was of 160 marks and of 2 hours duration, the trade test will have 40 marks and it will be practical/technical based.
