The increment in number of students seeking to pursue law studies can be witnessed the revelation that the University of Mumbai’s law department itself, being the only centre in Mumbai offering LLM, has received near 2800 applications, increased from 1700 in the previous year against only 600 seats.
The admissions will be done through the process of counselling which will be held in June. The schedule of counselling is not notified yet. Of the total seats available in the state for law courses through MH CET Law 2017, admission to 27% of total seats have been reserved for OBC candidates, 15 percent for SC and 7.5% for ST candidates. However, there are rules and regulations which needs to be followed if one is to avail the reservation benefits and for that, kindly have a look at the official information brochure. For instance, the candidates belonging to the reserved categories will only be considered eligible for admission under quota rule if they hold Maharashtra domicile.
We’ll update here once we have more.
