As we reported yesterday, the counselling for law seats in Maharashtra through MH CET, starts today, even though the Directorate had cited the schedule tentative.
MH CET Law counselling will commence form July 26 and will go on till August 31, as per the tentative schedule released. The counselling will be done in four rounds with first round of allocation on August 3. Around 30 thousand students had taken the first-ever Law CET conducted by Maharashtra CET Cell. The test held on June 18 & 19 implies for admissions to 3-year and 5-year LL.B. programmes offered at government, government-aided, non-aided, minority and university managed colleges. The results of the Law CET were declared on June 29 and moving ahead with the admission process, DHE Pune has released the schedule for Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
Directorate of Higher Education – DHE Pune released the revised schedule of CAP process for LL.B. courses on July 23, which mentioned that the qualified students will be able to exercise form filling process from July 26 to July 31. The students will also have to submit the online forms and pay fee within the same time frame and DHE Pune will publish the first list of admitted students at 5 PM on August 3. The students who will be allotted seats in the first round, will have to report to the allotted colleges till August 6 and furnish the admission formalities.
The other three rounds will be conducted in the same manner with second round list publication on August 9, third round list on August 16 and the fourth list on August 29. After the conclusion of fourth round, colleges will display the status of vacant seats on September 2. Admissions to the remaining seats will be done on the colleges’ end for which the merit list will be displayed on September 8.
