For the first time, Kashi Vidyapith, MGKVP is going to hold the entrance exam AYUSH 2016 on September 4 this year.
The Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth MGKVP has been recognised as the University of Historical Importance. Hence, the university administration has been entrusted the task of conducting the first medical entrance test for admission to ayurvedic and homeopathy courses. On Tuesday, the committee chaired by Chancellor Dr. P. Naag members was informed about the same. Kashi Vidyapeeth has been deputed with the responsibility by the state government, the people of the campus are quite pleased.
Till date the AYUSH (Ayurvedic, Unani, and homeopathy) entrance exam was held under CPMT. However, from now onwards this will not be the same. For the first time the AYUSH entrance exam will be held separately and for this, the Kashi Vishyapeeth has been selected as the conducting body. Kashi Vidyapeeth administration is gearing up for the entrance examination. Kashi Vidyapeeth Registrar Om Prakash said that the government has given an important and the same shall be completed in the time frame.
Entrance exam for state Ayurvedic, Unani and homeopathy colleges will be held on September 4, to be conducted by Kashi Vidyapeeth. Medical education principal secretary Anup Pandey told that admission details and website would also be launched shortly.
AYUSH entrance would be held for 700 seats in bachelors’ course in homeopathy (300), Ayurvedic (320) and Unani (80) streams and that pattern of exams will be similar to CPMT.
It is for the first time that AYUSH entrance exam will be conducted separately because till last year it was being conducted under CPMT. It is not less than an examination, for the members of the conducting body because every time Kashi Vidyapeeth becomes the Nodal centre for the medical entrance examination but this time, Kashi Vidyapeeth is itself the conducting body.
