Located in Konaje, Karnataka Mangalore University is a Public university. The districts of Dakshina (South) Kannada, Kodagu and Udupi come under the jurisdiction of MU. On July 15, Mangalore University has officially declared of recruiting guest teachers for 2015-16. University College, Hempankatta and Filed Marshall K M Cariappa College, Madikeri are the two of its constituent colleges for which guest teachers will be recruited.
Mangalore University has declared the elgibility criteria for applicants as they should be holding a master degree or any other equivalent degree with minimum 55% of marks from any recognized university of India. But candidates who are M.Phil or Ph.D(Doctor of Philosopy) degree holders will be given preferences. NET (National Eligibility Test) and SLET (State-level Eligibility Test) qualified candidates are also eligible for the post. Individuals who have experience in teaching in two colleges earlier as guest- teachers can also apply for guest teacher post in Mangalore University.
The aspirants for the desired post should be between 18-61 years. Application forms for guest teacher post are available both online and offline. Aspirants are required to log on to official web portal of university for application forms and filled forms should be submitted to admso@ mangaloreuniversity.ac.in. The interview will be organized at the university premises in Registrar’s office. A source states the interview will be for teaching subjects including Physics, Management (Human Resource Development),Chemistry, Economics, Journalism, Commerce, etc. Interview will be conducted in two intervals that is forenoon and afternoon.
