Maharashtra Government is all set to launch a dedicated portal for the recruitment of employees in all the state departments. All the examinations for government departments will be conducted through a dedicated portal, which the government believes will create transparency and avoid all the loop holes in the process.
The Principal Secretary, State Information Technology, V K Gautam said, “the primary motive is to put a stop on all the corrupt activities that are adopted by middle level administrations.” “The Madhya Pradesh has faced flak due to the Vyapam scam, which was a resultant of middle-level administrative discrepancies. Apart from this, recruitment have always been mired in controversies due to possibilities of corrupt practices being adopted,” Gautam told PTI. The Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation has partnered with IT firm UST Global to develop the required portal.
The move will result in an organized form of recruitment, and the examinations will now be conducted in a systematic manner. For any recruitment, the concerned department will have to upload its set of Questionnaire on the Portal only. “This will be a robust, scalable and a highly secure system, and the exams will be conducted via the IT Corporation at dedicated centres,” he said. The examination centers for this purpose will be only AICTE approved colleges.
Out of hundreds of questions uploaded by the department, the portal will choose a set of questions for the candidates to answer in the exam. “All recruitments will now be time-bound and results will also be displayed online almost instantly,” said Kaustubh Dhavse, the joint secretary and OSD to the chief minister for technology and infrastructure.
One of the top IT Firms, UST Global has been awarded with the responsibility for the development of portal. Initially, 3 companies were shortlisted via tender invitations before The Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation gave the contract to UST Global.
“The chief minister has envisioned a transparent administration and recruitments play an important role in it. This process will now be sans loopholes, where there will be no scope for wrongdoings,” Dhavse said.
The Portal will be officially launched on 1 September, 2017.
