May 30 Update: HSC result 2017 of Maharashtra board has been declared now, official website www.mahresult.nic.in shows. Students can access their Mah HSC result 2017 at the website. The declaration date for HSC result 2017 was finally confirmed yesterday and result is now out. Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education board officials today said that it will declare the Maharashtra HSC results 2017 tomorrow on May 30. HSC result time of publication was set as 1 pm. And with this declaration, students and parents can take a sigh of relief.

This falls in line with our report that Maharashtra board usually notifies 24 hours in advance the date of HSC results and will do so this year too and that Maharashtra HSC result 2017 date will be announced today on May 29, 2017 (Monday). The board official had confirmed last week that HSC result 2017 will be declared by May 30.
While HSC results are coming on May 30, the results of Maharashtra SSC examinations will be out nearly a week later. Last year, the HSC results were released on May 25 while the SSC results were out in June. HSC exams were concluded on March 25, however due to teachers protest, the assessment of answer sheets got delayed. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education conducts the HSC and SSC Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri.
There are a total of 2,710 examination centres across the nine divisions of Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amaravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan. For the first time, the state government has made it mandatory for students to fill in their Aadhaar cards number to appear for the exam.

This year, a total of 15,05,365 students have registered for February-March 2017 exams out of which 2,42,628 students are from Pune division. Meanwhile, across Maharashtra, of the total students, 8,48,929 are boys while 6,56,436 are girls, appearing from 9,143 junior colleges across the state. The maximum students are from Science faculty (5,59,423), followed by Arts (5,09,124), Commerce (3,73,870) and 62,148 students for Minimum Competency Vocational Course (MCVC).
In 2016, around 13,21,821 students registered for Maharashtra HSC examination of which 4,84,960 were from science stream, 4,41,913 of commerce stream and 3,37,598 were from Arts and vocational stream. The Maharashtra Board HSC Result was declared on May 25, 2016. The overall percentage in last year’s result was at 86.60 percent, and yet again female students fared much better than their counterparts with 90.50 percent, boys cumulative percentage was 83.46 percent. The pass percentage in the science stream in Maharashtra Board HSC Result 2016 was at 93.16 percent while that in Commerce stream was 78.11 percent.
