Probably the last exam of the season for MBA aspirants, MAH-CET has started its online registration process on 21st January 2017 and will end on 13th February 2017. DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) Maharashtra released an official notification regarding the dates of the registration process and the exam dates. The MAH-CET entrance exam for admissions in full-time management courses- MBA/MMS will be held on 4th and 5th March 2017.
It is an opportunity for MBA aspirants to ace the exam to get into top management colleges of Maharashtra like JBIMS, KJ Somaiya, SIMSREE, etc. Also, there are around other 400+ B-school in Maharashtra which accepts the score of MAH-CET.
This year, the registration would likely to go high as the competition is getting more rigorous. Also, other exams like CAT, SNAP, XAT witnessed higher number of registered candidates as compared to the last year. Last year, MAH-CET recorded around 75,000 registered candidates which were more than the previous year while turnout for the exam was less than the registered candidates.

MAH-CET also released its syllabus for the online paper. The paper of MAH-CET 2017 will contain 3 sections – Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. Reasoning will be also divided into two sections – Logical and Abstract Reasoning and will test logical thinking skills of the candidates. Quantitative Aptitude will deal with numbers, arithmetic, geometry, data interpretation, etc. And, the Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension will test on passages, grammar and vocabulary questions.
The registration fee for general and all India candidates is Rs. 1000/- and for the reserved category candidates of Maharashtra, the form costs Rs. 800/-. After the registration gets completed, the admit card will be available for download from 13th February and the result will be declared on 10th March 2017.
As there is still time for the exam, the candidates can still target for the top colleges who has not performed well in the past exams. Also, the result of major exams has been announced till date, the candidates can still take MAH-CET to increase the chances of getting into top colleges.
