It has been notified that Magadh University of Bodhgaya, Patna has postponed its Post Graduate admissions till further notice. Ishtiaq Ahmed, vice-chancellor of the university said that, five colleges had decided to cancel the PG admissions this year after meeting with the principals of the colleges and some reasons were given.
It was cited that some errors took place in the admission of female students as per 5 % weightage process. At the meeting, the principals of the colleges spoke on enrollment fees and reimbursement from state government in the next financial year as per the orders would cause lots of problems. It was also said that, this year, there won’t be any fees collected from the students when they organize the guest lectures. Meeting also took into account other educational activities which were high cause of concern. Talks with the government regarding the issue was on cards. The nomination process would be postponed.
It was well known that, the deadline for Magadh university PG first semester enrollment form for admission was on 27th August 2015. Students must be enrolled depending on their merit list from PG departments and colleges and the date was between 2nd September and 12th September 2015. It must be noted that in the meeting held on Friday, 4th September 2015, College of Commerce Principal Dr Baban Singh, AN College principal, Dr Lalan Singh and JD Womens College Principal Dr Subash Prasad Sinha also took part.
Magadh university found in the year 1962 is present in BodhGaya in Bihar. This UGC recognized university is now under Bihar State University Act 1976. Great facilities are provided by this university for the students for higher learning and also for their research in Science, Social Sciences, Humanities and Commerce fields.
