The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the admit cards of Teacher recruitment exam for North Eastern Zone. The Zone comprises of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura States. KV Sangathan will fill 546 Teacher posts in the schools under North Eastern Zone through this exam. The applicants can download KVS admit card from the official website www.kvsangathan.nic.in.
The Special Recruitment Drive to fill Teaching Staff posts in Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) of North Eastern Zone was notified by KVS in September. There are 182 posts of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), 144 posts of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and 220 posts of Primary Teacher (PRT) to be filled in KVs through this special recruitment drive. The online applications for these vacancies were submitted from October 3 to 17, 2017.
KVS Exam Date and Marking Scheme: On November 24, the Sangathan announced KVS exam date as December 16 and 17. The written exam for PGT posts will be conducted on December 16 in the first shift (9.30 am to 12.30 pm), followed by PRT exam in the second shift from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. The Sangathan has scheduled TGT exam for December 17 and the exam will be conducted in the first shift from 10 am to 12.30 pm.
Post Graduate Teacher posts are subject-specific and the notified vacancies include Hindi, English, History, Economics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects. The below image presents the exam pattern for PGT posts, scheduled to be held on December 16.
KVS will follow the similar pattern for TGT and PRT exams, scheduled to be conducted on separate days. The Trained Teacher Posts are for Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Social Studies, Maths and Science subjects, however, the exam will not have any subject-specific questions.
KVS Exam will be conducted on the notified date/ shift at multiple test centers in 18 Cities, namely, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi NCR, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Pune, Ranchi, Silchar, Shillong, and Varanasi. The candidates are required to download KVS admit card to know their test date, timing and test center address. The admit card is now available at kvsangathan.nic.in.
The selection process of Teaching Staff comprises of a written exam and interview. A limited number of candidates declared qualified in the written exam will be called for Interview by the authorities, while the final merit list will be prepared by taking the marks obtained by the candidates in written exam and interview in 85:15 ratio. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan was registered as a Society in 1965. Presently, there are approximately 1,173 KVs including three abroad, five Zonal Institutes of Education and Training and 25 Regional offices.
