Maharashtra Secondary School Certificate (Class 10th Board) Result 2015 have been finally announced today. Appeared students can check their result by visiting the official website of Maharashtra Board and State Result Portal and they can also avail their result on Mobile Devices by sending SMS. While checking the SSC results online, students need to enter their roll number and minimum three letters of mother’s first name.
Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is an autonomous body that conducts HSC and SSC Examinations through its nine divisional boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri.
Overall pass percentage recorded this year is 91.46, with girls having an edge over boys. Konkan division topped the list with passing percentage of 96.54 while Latur division is at bottom with 86.38%. Girls outshined boys in SSC exams with the passing percentage of 92.94%. A total of 17.32 lakh students appeared for SSC exam this year, out of which 9.59 lakh were boys and 7.73 lakh girls.

The SSC result of Maharashtra State Board was supposed to be released on June 3 but due to some internal issues of Board it was postponed and the result has been finally declared on June 8.
Government of Maharashtra established the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) in the year of 1965 and Since then Board has been conducting the final examination of Class 10th & 12th in regular basis. Each year more than 30 lakh students participated in both final exams. It conducted the class 10th exam from March 3 to 26 in various exam centers across the state.
MSBSHSE already announced the class 12th Result on May 27 and that time students expected the SSC result in the first week of June 2015. May be for the strike of teachers in Maharashtra before few months is the real reason behind the postponed of SSC result.
The SSC result is the first stage of all student’s career because on the basis of Class 10th marks students will get admission in various streams i.e. Arts, Science & Commerce of Class 11th. After few days of SSC result declaration, all schools under MSBSHSE will notify for the admission.
On the result announced websites, by submitting the Roll numbers candidates can check their result. On the same time they will get the subject wise marks with awarded division or grades. Candidates can collect the official Mark sheet cum Pass Certificate from their respective Schools.
