Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan renders responsibility of exams to CBSE

The competent authority of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has taken the big decision by showing some seriousness towards the cancelled primary and LDC Exams. Earlier the written examinations, which were being conducted for recruitment to the post of primary teacher and primary teacher (music) and LDC, were cancelled due to the leakage in question paper. CBSE has been given the responsibility to conduct the recruitment papers of KVS. In this regard, a letter has been sent to CBSE to conduct the cancelled exams.

Santosh Singh Mall, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KYS) commissioner said, “this decision has been taken after primary and LDC exam papers leaked this month. People should have their faith on KVS that is why the papers will once again be conducted by CBSE.”

For the recruitment session 2014-15 and 2015-16, KVS had outsourced the complete recruitment work for teaching and non teaching staff to its empanelled recruitment agency. All India Management Association (AIMA) was given the authority to take hold of all the recruitment work ranging from setting, printing and dispatch of question papers to the opening of question papers at the prescribed time.

In the letter CBSE has been asked to conduct the exam as soon as possible. So that the applicants need not fill the application form again, CBSE has been asked to use the earlier data so as to be in favor of candidates who have registered earlier.

A senior official informed that on the initial basis the charge for conducting the recruitment exam was given to All India Management Association (AIMA) which was withdrawn later. A legal notice has been sent to AIMA and has been asked to pay Rs. 50 crore compensation as a penalty.

When the question paper got leaked even the written examination for the post of PGTs was postponed due to some administrative reasons and the new date issued for the exam is October 31, 2015. Not only this, the written examination conducted for the posts of librarian and stenographer grade II was cancelled and postponed. The reason cited by the competent authority was some technical flaws.

Number of vacant positions for the post of primary teacher are 2566 while that of  primary teacher (music) is 73. Vacant positions for the post of PGT is 387 while that of LDC is somewhere around 312. In case of librarian it is 74 and for Stenographer Grade II it is 8.
