KEAM 2017 paper 2 for Mathematics subject was held today on April 25 while the paper 1 consisting of Physics and Chemistry were conducted yesterday. As we had reported, the answer keys for paper 1 had already been released by coaching centres. CEE Kerala, the official body conducting this KEAM examination, has availed the official answer keys for KEAM 2017 for both papers on yesterday evening. Apart from this page, candidates may also visit the official websites www.cee.kerala.gov.in and www.cee-kerala.gov.in to check out the answer keys.
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala conducts KEAM (Kerala Engineering Agriculture & Medical) entrance test for admission to first year of the undergraduate professional degree courses such as B.E./B.Tech. However, being that only entrance test will be NEET for medical UG admissions in the country (except AIIMS and JIPMER), KEAM has been conducted only for Engineering, agriculture and pharmacy aspirants.

KEAM 2017 in bullet points:
- A total of 1,06,264 candidates had registered and 90,645 had actually appeared for KEAM 2017 maths paper today, marking the attendance at 85.3 percent.
- In the Physics & Chemistry paper held yesterday, the attendance was recorded at 89.5 percent. 1,00,350 had showed up for KEAM 2017 paper 1 yesterday.
- On a whole, KEAM 2017 carries 960 marks. 480 marks are for Physics & Chemistry paper which consisted of 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Maths paper also carried 480 marks for 120 questions. Candidates were given 150 minutes to solve the questions papers on each day.
- Each question carried 4 marks and the provision of negative marking is also present here., which says that each wrong answer will result in deduction of 1 mark.
The results of KEAM 2017 will be announced on or before May 25, 2017 as per the official notification issued by CEE Kerala. The rank list is poised to be published on June 20, 2017 and the process of admission will commence from thereafter. Even though the CEE has not notified of the counselling schedule, it is usually conducted after ranks publication.
In the preparation of rank list and for admission processes, the weightage given to students’s class 12 marks and KEAM 2017 score is 50:50. Close to 60 thousand seats in the engineering, agriculture and pharmacy courses are open for admissions this year and there are over one lakh candidates in row. The admission to these seats are also facilitated through JEE main, but that is subjected to University/institution’s rules.
