KEAM admit card for the 2017 entrance exam scheduled to be held on April 24 & 25 has been issued to candidates, Commission of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala notified here today. Candidates will be able to download their admit card after login with the credentials at ‘candidate’s portal’ at the official website www.cee.kerala.gov.in.
The admit cards were originally scheduled to be out by April 10 but were delayed by two days. However, now that the hall tickets have been issued to eligible candidates, note that if you are facing any issue regarding the same, contact CEE Kerala offices at the helpline numbers given on the official website.
The commissioner has also withheld the admit card issuance of some candidates due to the defects in their forms, signature, photo etc. Such candidates are to rectify their errors and their hall tickets will be issued only after that.
Before this, the CEE had uploaded the application status for all the applicants in the Candidate Portal. It was done because many applications had defects in respect of photograph/ signature/ thumb impression. The candidates were also asked to verify the particulars mentioned in the application so that they could be corrected well in time. It was already announced that the candidates whose application form will still have incorrect information, will not be included in the rank list.
Yesterday, the CEE portal displayed a message which said that the next updation in the profile of candidate portal will be made at 8 pm on April 10. Since the evening, the site started displaying another message “KEAM 2017: Procedure regarding Admit Card download will be notified shortly…” However, nothing was notified, even after 24 hours passed.
The candidates would be required to carry the colour printout of KEAM Admit Card while appearing for the entrance exam. The admit cards will be used for verification in the examination hall.
Admit Cards of some candidates on hold
The admit cards of some candidates have been temporarily withheld due to defects in their applications in respect of photograph, signature and thumb impression, CEE said through the notification. The details of such defects in the application will be displayed while attempting to download KEAM admit card. “The admit cards of such candidates will be released only if correct photo/signature/ thumb impression is uploaded through the links concerned before 5 pm on 15 April,” the notification further reads.
Popularly known as KEAM – Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical, was the biggest state-level entrance examination till last year, meant for admissions in courses such as engineering & technology, medical, dental, agriculture, etc offered at institutions of the State. But as the medical admissions were directed to be done only through the national-level exam, KEAM 2017 is only meant for admissions in B.Tech., B.Pharm, and Pharm. D courses.
