April 11, Update: KEAM 2017 admit cards were scheduled to be released yesterday on April 10 but were not. Moreover, CEE Kerala has not addressed the issue apart from a short note it’s website displayed yesterday saying that procedure will be notified shortly. However, the admit cards are expected to be issued today.
Kerala Engineering, Agriculture and Medical (KEAM) 2017 is scheduled to be held on April 24 & 25 for admissions in B.Tech., B.Pharma, and Pharm. D courses offered at institutions of Kerala. The release date for KEAM admit card 2017 is April 10 in the brochure.
Afternoon update: The official website (cee.kerala.gov.in) is displaying a note as of this writing (12 noon) that procedure regarding KEAM 2017 admit card download will be notified shortly. Stay tuned, we’ll update here.
On March 29, the Commissioner for Entrance Examination had notified the applicants to verify their details mentioned in the application form and also to correct the details, if there were defects in it. The candidates were asked to inform the CEE Kerala for corrections in the particulars by April 5. It was also announced that the admit cards of those candidates who have defects in respect of photograph/ signature/ thumb impression will not be released unless these defects are corrected.
The latest update from CEE says that the next updation in the profile of candidate portal will be made at 8 pm on April 10. The profiles will be updated for only those candidates who have sent sufficient documents to clear the defects in the application. The applicants can verify their details after 8 pm today for getting updated status of their profile.
CEE Kerala will send rejection memo to candidates whose application has been rejected. For candidates still having defective applications, the defects will be displayed on the homepage of the candidate while attempting to download the admit card. The candidates can download KEAM admit card from candidate portal (www.cee.kerala.gov.in) by using application number and date of birth.
The candidates are required to take the printout of the admit card so as to gain entry in the examination hall. CEE will not the admit card by post to any candidate. The candidates should also check the particulars mentioned in the admit card and inform the authorities in case of any wrong detail. The candidates can carry cardboard/ clipboard and blue/black ball point pen in the exam hall along with the admit card, any material expect this will not be allowed.
KEAM 2017 exam will comprise of two papers: Paper 1 (Physics & Chemistry) and Paper 2 (Mathematics). Paper 1 will be administered on April 24 (Monday), while Paper 2 will be on April 25 (Tuesday). Both the papers will be conducted in a single shift from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The exam will be held at 14 district centers in Kerala and in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Dubai.
The admissions in Engineering & Technology courses along with Pharmacy (B.Pharm & Pharm. D) will be done through KEAM 2017. The merit list for admissions will be prepared by taking the marks of KEAM and Class 12 will be taken the ratio of 50:50. Till last year, the admissions in medical and allied courses was also done through the common entrance exam, but as NEET was made compulsory for all medical & dental courses, the practice has been discontinued from this year.
