The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) had conducted the CET 2017 on 2nd & 3rd May wherein around 1.8 lakh candidates had appeared. The test has been conducted for admissions to the engineering, pharmacy, agriculture and allied courses. The results of Karnataka CET were declared on May 30, based on which the CET counselling will now be carried out.
For B.E/ B.Tech courses, the rank is awarded to the students by taking the marks scored in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects in CET 2017 and the marks scored in same subjects in 2nd PUC (Class 12) in equal proportions.
The candidates who have been assigned ranks in CET 2017 will have to get their original documents verified in the assigned Helpline Centre to be eligible for Option Entry. Only upon verification of documents and issue of verification slip, the candidate will be allowed to enter their options online, KEA said through a notice. The document verification for KCET counselling will continue from June 5 to 21 and June 11 & 18 will be observed as holidays. The KEA will be holding the document verification in four sessions (Forenoon Session-1 & 2 and Afternoon Session-1 & 2) each day. The reporting time for the sessions will be 8.30 am, 10.15 am, 1 pm and 3.15 pm.
The students are required to arrange the following Original Documents and one set of Attested Photocopies in the sequential order and produce the same in the verification counter for verification of documents:
- The final print out of the CET 2017 online application form.
- Original Copy of the Chalan for having paid the fees.
- CET 2017 Admission Ticket
- SSLC/ 10th Standard Marks Card
- 2nd PUC/ 12th Standard Marks Card
- Study Certificate counter signed by the concerned BEO/ DDPI
- Two recent passport size photographs
After verification, only one set of attested photocopies of all the documents will be retained by the KEA and all original documents will be returned to the students. The candidates are required to report to the designated Helpline Centre as per their rank, the schedule of document verification can be checked from here.
The seat matrix in respect of Medical, Dental, ISM & H, Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses, Farm Science, B-Pharm, Pharm-D as notified by the Government will be published on the KEA website www.kea.kar.nic.in before the commencement of seat allotment to the respective disciplines.
KEA will publish the seat matrix and fee structure for all disciplines on 14 June, after 4 pm, while the option entry will open from 11 am on 15 June. The publication of first round allotment result will be done on June 27.
