KEA to announce seat allotment today for KCET in 2nd extended round

KEA has announced that the seat allotment results in CET 2nd extended round would be done today. Many aspirants had set their sights on Tuesday when the allotment will be out in the evening at 6 pm.

The seat allotment results will be hosted at the official site where the students will be able to know their final allotment status by using their CET number.

After the conclusion of Second round counselling, KEA had notified the schedule of Second Extended Round counselling and accordingly the seat matrix was hosted on July 21. As much as 351 & 155 MBBS seats in Minority Colleges & Deemed Colleges respectively and other 299 BDS seats were opened for admissions in the second extended round.

Apart from these new seats, those seats in MBBS, BDS, B.E, B.Pharm and other courses remaining vacant after first two rounds were also thrown open for option entry in this round. The eligible students were allowed to exercise option entry from July 22 and as per the schedule, the option entry was closed yesterday on 25 July at 2 PM.

Once the results are available on the official site, the students will be able to confirm their respective allotments. The confirmation of allotment, fee payment and admission order download will be open for two days, from 27 July to 28 July. The students should report to the allotted college to secure their admission by 5.30 PM on July 29, 2016.

The KEA has also notified that the students who surrenders the seat allotted in the Second Extended Round, the entire amount paid by the students will be forfeited. For previous two rounds of counselling, the students used to get their fee refunded after a minimal deduction if they choose to surrender their allotted seat. The students will have only one choice in the Second Extended Round, i.e. Choice 1 and are required to compulsorily report to the respective colleges on or before the last date, failing which they will loose their allotted seats.
