The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) had conducted the Post Graduate common entrance test (PGCET-2016) on July 2 and 3 and thousands of aspirants are currently awaiting the declaration of PGCET result. Several news reports are pointing that KEA would announce PGCET result today on July 12 while the results were initially scheduled to be rolled out on July 15.
The PGCET 2016 was conducted by the authority for filling around 20,000 seats in 130 colleges under the government and management quota. The courses include MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech., and M.Arch. As much as 30 thousand aspirants have taken the exam in two days.
With reports confirming the announcement of PGCET 2016 result on July 12, the authorities are still mum on the date, the same case is going on with another test conducted by authority, Diploma CET.
KEA had initially released the provisional answer keys of the test on July 6 while the last date to submit the objections was July 11. The final answer key for all question papers will be released along with PGCET results so that candidates can check the changed answers. It is to note here that all the admissions would be on the basis of candidates’ performance in the entrance test.
The merit list for admissions will be prepared separately for MBA, MCA, M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the PGCET. The marks of qualifying examination will not be taken into consideration while preparing the merit list. In case two or more candidates score same marks in PGCET, the inter-se merit will be determined with reference to the total aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination. If the marks remain same then too, the inter-se merit will be determined on the basis of age of the candidate.
KEA has announced the DCET results today as per it’s scheduled, so candidates can expect the same for PGCET results.
For M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch courses, KEA would publish two separate rank lists; first on the basis of GATE score and another on the basis of PGCET marks. The seat matrix for all courses will be released after the announcement of PGCET result and before the commencement of first round seat allotment.
