Update on August 19, 2017: KEA DCET real allotment 2017 has been declared by Karnataka Examinations Authority for Lateral Entry Admissions into Engineering courses. The students can check DCET first round allotment result by using DCET Number at kea.kar.nic.in.
KEA DCET real allotment result, DCET allotment 2017 result will be declared today for admission to 2nd year/ 3rd semester Engineering Courses. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has scheduled the release of DCET real allotment 2017 for today. The students can check the DCET real allotment status on the official website of KEA after 5 pm.
DCET real allotment 2017 will be based on the options entered by the candidates and their merit in the entrance test. The Diploma Common Entrance Test DCET 2017 was conducted by KEA on 2nd July for admission to 2nd year/ 3rd semester engineering courses under Lateral Entry Scheme.
KEA had earlier announced the DCET mock allotment results on 16th August, following which the students were given time till today morning to verify the status of their allotment. The students were further instructed by KEA to modify their options so as to better their chances of getting desired seat once the DCET real allotment result is published. The real allotment for Engineering courses will be published today after examining all the modified changes made by the candidates. The applicants can see the real allotment result today after 5:00 p.m.
The candidates will be given 4 days time from 19 August, 2017 to 23 August, 2017 to confirm their allotment. Students need to download the admission order and pay the fees in this period of time only. The last date for reporting the colleges is scheduled on 24 August, 2017 before 5:30 p.m.
Once the college is allotted to the applicant, he /she has to report to that college. Also, if a candidate wishes to surrender the seat, he or she can do so only by giving in writing to Karnataka Examination Authority. All the information such as candidate’s name, father’s name, category under which seats are allotted, for all the students who are allotted seats will be published on the official website of KEA.
A total of 17,700 seats are available in Day Engineering Colleges under General Stream, in addition to 2,602 seats in Hyderabad-Karnataka and 837 seats under Special category quota. For evening colleges, 513 seats are available for General Category, while 45 and 30 seats are available under HK and Special Category quota respectively. For Architecture course, there are total 38 seats under General category and 18 seats under Hyd-Kar quota.
As per the allotment process, KEA will first allot the seats to physically disabled, NCC, sports category candidates, followed by the allotment to general category seats. While the KEA has mentioned that DCET real allotment 2017 will be announced after 5 pm today, it is hard to assume if the allotments will be out at exact 5 pm or not.
