DCET mock allotment 2017 will be announced today by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The students were asked to participate in the online option entry process following the document verification and now based on the options entered by the candidates, KEA will publish DCET mock allotment result. KEA had conducted the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET or Diploma CET) on July 2 and the results of the entrance test were announced on August 3. The test has been conducted by the Authority to admit eligible students into 2nd year/ 3rd Semester Engineering courses and 1st year/ 1st semester Architecture course under Lateral Entry Scheme. The students are eligible for admission in both Day and Evening Engineering Colleges.

Followed by the announcement of DCET 2017 result, KEA directed the qualified students to report at the Helpline Centers for verification of documents starting from August 4. The option entry for first round commenced on August 12 and was scheduled to stop at 9 am today. KEA will announce DCET mock allotment 2017 based on the real data provided by the candidates after 5 pm today. The seats will be allotted in the order of merit and based on the priority of options entered by the candidates during this window.

DCET mock allotment is only for the information of candidates and will be declared so that the candidates may get to know their chances of getting a seat as per their merit. Two days time will be given to the candidates to verify the status of their allotment. If one feels the need to change or modify the options, he/ she will have time till 9 am, August 18 to do so. Based on the modified options entered by the candidates, real allotment will be carried out, the results of which will be published on August 18 itself.

As per the seat matrix issued by KEA on August 14, there are total 17,700 seats available in Day Engineering Colleges under General stream. For Day Colleges, as much as 2,602 seats and 837 seats are available under Hyd-Kar and Special Category quota respectively. For Evening Colleges (2 year), there are 513, 45 & 30 seats under General, HK and Special Category quota respectively. Apart from these, there are 217, 19 & 16 seats in the same order in Evening Colleges (6 year).

For Architecture course, there are 38 seats under General category and 18 seats under Hyd-Kar quota. The seats in Architecture course are available only for NATA rank holders.
