KEA has declared CET allotment 2016 and KCET real seat allotment for first round, and results have been uploaded at KEA website.
CET allotment and KCET seat allotment 2016 result for Karnataka CET 2016 is being declared today by KEA. kea.kar.nic.in has notified the timing as 8 pm on July 1.
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is going to publish CET allotment 2016 (real) results after 8 PM today as the revised schedule confirms. KCET allotment result will be available at kea.kar.nic.in where candidates will be able to access their result by logging into the candidate’s portal.
Candidates will have time till July 5 to secure their admissions in the allotted seats. The confirmation of choices will begin on July 2, to be followed by the payment of fees. Candidates will then be able to download the admission order so that they can secure their admission. Candidates seeking admission in the allotted seat will have to report to the respective college by July 7.
Students aspiring to take engineering and medical courses were confused since the beginning. KEA first fixed May 1 & 2 as the common entrance test dates, but as CBSE decided to conduct AIPMT (now NEET-I) on May 1, the authority rescheduled the test for May 4 & 5. Then as the controversy over NEET followed, it again took toll of students. Though Karnataka CET result was published as per schedule on May 28, KEA kept on shuffling the dates time and again as lately the option entry schedule was also changed. The option entry by eligible candidates which was earlier to be done by June 22 was extended till June 27.
Similarly, the publication of mock allotment results on June 23, was delayed to June 28. As the mock allotment was published, candidates were able to modify their options on the basis of their status as represented in mock allotment result. Now as the real option entry link closed at 3 PM on June 30, the Karnataka CET real allotment would be declared today. KEA will publish KCET real allotment result after 8 PM.
KEA has not announced further schedule, but as per previous years, the authority should first display the seat matrix by July 10 and the option entry process till July 12-13. KEA will not release any further mock allotments and will declare second allotment result after few hours of ending of option entry process. If needed, KEA will organise second extended round to fill the seats.
As per the records, 1.71 lakh students have taken the Karnataka CET, out of which 41,530 candidates are eligible for admissions to medical and dental courses; 1.27 lakh for engineering and 1,395 for architecture courses.
