Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the official answer keys for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2017. The details of official CET answer key 2017 have been uploaded at www.kea.kar.nic.in (official website). Along with the provisional answer keys, KEA has also uploaded the question papers for all four subject papers.
CET 2017 was conducted on May 02 and May 03 at more than 400 exam centres across the state of Karnataka. Reports are that near 1.85 lakh students have taken KCET aspiring to take admission to the engineering, agriculture and pharmacy course. Nearly half of the total applicants are girl students.
As reported earlier, the unofficial answer keys for KCET were already made available on the very next of exam conclusion of all 4 papers. Those answer keys were uploaded online by coaching institutions namely, Allen and Expert coaching classes for Physics & Chemistry, as well as for Maths & Biology. However, the official answer keys have been released today by KEA.
In a press note issued here on Friday morning, KEA said, ” the master question papers of respective subject of CET 2017 with provisional key answers have been uploaded at website www.kea.kar.nic.in”.
Here’s the breakup of subject-wise details on provisional CET 2017 key answers:
- In CET 2017 Physics paper, KEA has provided grace in question no.1 as per the key answers PDF.
- In Chemistry paper, Grace mark is given in question no. 48.
- There are no grace marks in Maths and Biology papers.
- Grace meaning here is that either the question is wrong or the answers are invalid. whatever the case maybe, the grace marks will be provided to all the candidates for the question no.1

The candidates can also raise objections to the answers published in the official answer key. To do so, candidates have to send e-mail to KEA (firstname.lastname@example.org) titled “CET-2017 – Objection – Mathematics”. While filing the objection, email should be sent by mentioning the subject and question number of the master question paper along with justification and should be sent at the above mentioned mail address.
The objections can be filed only upto May 10, 2017 (5 pm).
The result for KCET 2017 has not been fixed yet by the Authority but the declaration is usually made in the in about 3-4 weeks of the exam. The results of KCET 2017 can be expected by May-end. We’ll notify the date here after officials’ consent.
