The admit cards of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), Karnataka CET 2017, are expected to be uploaded by the KEA in a day or two. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is yet to notify the admit card release date, but going by the previous year trends, the CET admit card should be available from tomorrow, April 15.
KEA will be holding the Common Entrance Test on May 2 & 3, 2017. The test is conducted on annual basis for admissions in various courses in Government/ University/ Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions of Karnataka. While the admissions in medical and dental courses (MBBS & BDS) will be facilitated through NEET 2017, KCET will remain the entrance exam for admissions in B.E./ B.Tech, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga (ISM & H), B.Sc., B.H.Sc., B.V.Sc. & A.H. & Pharmacy courses.
After some changes in the schedule, the students were allowed to fill the applications of Karnataka CET 2017 from January 27 to March 8. KEA also gave one final chance to all the applicants for making corrections in the application till March 31. Ever since the facility of making corrections ended, the students have been waiting for an official update regarding the release of KCET admit card. We tried to reach the KEA, but no exact information could be collected. The students are advised to keep a tab on the KEA website and we shall also update this page with more information.
KCET 2017 will be conducted at 54 places across the State for PUC students in May. The test will be held for 4 subjects in specific shifts, the detailed schedule will be:
The students will be required to appear for specific subject papers depending on the course they seek admission into. The questions papers of KCET will be mostly based on the First and Second PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. Apart from these four subjects, KEA will also hold a Kannada language test only for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates on May 4. The language test will be held only in Bangalore and will be of 50 marks.
KEA will take into consideration the performance of candidates in the CET and the qualifying examination, as the case may be, to prepare the merit/ rank list.
