Karnataka CET or KCET-2015 was conducted for facilitate admissions to government seats in Medical, Dental, Engineering, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and various other courses in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions across the State for academic year 2015-16. Now as per the schedule, Karnataka Examinations Authority will display the seat matrix as well fee structure for all the courses on 13 June and will be accessible at the official web portal www.kea.kar.nic.in.
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test was conducted on 12 & 13 May, the results were announced on 1 June followed by the document verification process. The provisional matrix for Medical, Dental, Engineering and Architecture colleges is available at the official website. There are total 26 Medical Colleges (13 Government, 10 Non-Minority Private Medical College, 10 Minority Private Medical Colleges & 3 Deemed University Medical Colleges) with total intake of 5345 seats in the State and total 2477 seats will be filled through KCET counselling. Talking about Dental courses, there are 38 Dental Colleges (2 Government Dental, 23 Non-Minority Dental Colleges, 13 Minority Dental Institutions) with total intake 2610 seats, 875 seats will be filled through Karnataka CET 2015 counselling.
As per the provisional seat matrix, there are total 97,730 seats for Engineering courses in 12 Government/University Engineering Colleges, 9 Government-Aided Engineering Colleges and 21 Private Unaided Minority Colleges in the State. Government/University Engineering Colleges have total intake of 3320 seats, in which State Government quota is 3179. Considering 9 Aided Engineering Colleges, total intake is 3520 and Government quota seats is 3214.
Total intake in 167 Privated Unaided Colleges & Unaided courses in Aided Colleges is 80,908 while 21 Private Unaided Minority Colleges have total intake of 9982 seats in all Engineering disciplines.
Karnataka Examinations Authority will publish the final seat matrix along with the fee structure for all the Courses/Colleges at 4 pm on 13 June. Eligible students can choose their preferences through Option Entry from 17 June (10 am) to 22 June (upto 10 am), the allotment results will be published in two steps, Mock allotment and real allotment. Mock allotment result will be displayed on 23 June so that to enable students to make any changes in the preferences, while the real allotment results will be announced on 26 June.
