JNU to establish new School of Business and entrepreneurship

Jawaharlal Nehru University is all set to establish a new school of business and entrepreneurship. JNU was established as a public central university in New Delhi in the year 1969. The name was given to the university after the first Prime Minster of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru. The university is famous for its excellent student : teacher ratio. Jawaharlal Nehru university has always believed in encouraging the students to explore their creativity. The Nehruvian objectives are very well ingrained in the mission and vision of the university.

The university is very famous for the courses that it offers. It offers courses related to sciences and social sciences. It also offers courses related to other fields of science. Recently, a conference was held on economic empowerment in the varsity. JNU was also involved in organizing the conference along with Confederation of Indian Industries and Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce. The vice-chancellor of the university M Jagadesh Kumar, while addressing the gathering, spoke about their new idea of a school.

He said, “A school of management in JNU will benefit the society in general and the aspirants from underprivileged background in particular as they get access to education and skills on international standards.” A number of experts also shared their experience and supported the idea.

The CEO of Tata Chemicals, D K Sundar, was also present at the conference held. He said, “It is time for affirmative action to give equal opportunity to the weaker section of the society after which there would be holistic economic development.”
