Jamia Millia Islamia University has cancelled its B.Tech entrance test which was held on 13th of this month. The decision has been taken keeping in view the possibility of breach in the examination process. The press statement was issued from the University on 15 June announcing the cancellation of the B.Tech entrance exam. The new date for the re-test has been decided as 27 June.
Also the entrance examination for admission to BDS course which was earlier postponed would be now conducted on 25 June. Jamia Millia Islamia University, a Central University, has always kept its pride and integrity and has so far concluded all its examination processes in true spirit. When some university teachers claimed that there might be some possibilities of leakage of exam, the University called upon a meeting and decided to postpone the dental entrance test and also to cancel the engineering entrance examination.
On 15th June, the University issued a press statement regarding the matter and also announced the fresh dates for both entrance examinations.
The statement released by the Jamia Millia Islamia University on 15 June states, “A preliminary enquiry, based on the details available, hints at the possibility of a breach in the examination system with respect to B.Tech. Entrance Test that was conducted on June 13, 2015. Keeping in view the interests of the students who took the entrance examination and to maintain highest degree of propriety and credibility of the examination process, the university administration has decided to cancel the above- mentioned test.
A fresh B.Tech Entrance Test would be administered on June 27, 2015. The postponed B.D.S. Entrance Test, which was scheduled to be held on June 14, 2015, will now be held on June 25, 2015.”
