JKSSB answer key 2017, irregularities reported again in April 27 exam

The answer keys for Jammu And Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) graduation level examination held on April 27, 2017 will expectedly be released here by some coaching centres. JKSSB finally conducted it’s graduate level exam yesterday. JKSSB answer key for this 27th April 2017 exam will be released within a day or two by coaching centres, and later this week officially.

However, irregularities were reported at places. One of them being the photo being shared on social media where a candidate is showing an answer sheet in the open, outside the examination hall. We can’t confirm the report whether or not this is his answer sheet. The photo was shared by a popular Facebook page. This should be minor incident and must not affect exam’s fate.


JKSSB Graduate Level examination was finally conducted across the State today. After facing multiple postponements, the exam was conducted on Sunday in a single shift from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. As per the reports, 1,29,629 candidates were called to take the Graduate Level exam that aims to fill at least 102 category posts which include Inspector, Sub Inspector, Health Educator, Accounts Assistant, Supervisor, Laboratory Assistant, Food Inspector, Superintendent posts among others.

Prior to the exam, several necessary arrangements were made by the administration for the smooth conduct of the written exam, including finalization of exam centers, deploying invigilators & observers and imposition of Section 144 around the examination centers. Even the teaching works were suspended for the day in the schools designated as exam centers for SSB exams. Around 23 schools including 8 private schools in Srinagar city were set up as exam centers for JKSSB Graduate level exam.

Till now, J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has re-scheduled the Graduate Level exam multiple times. Last time, the exam was scheduled to be held on March 5, but due to inclement weather conditions and blockage of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, the exam was postponed. Later, the Board announced that it will be fast-tracking the recruitment processes and will conduct all the pending exams soon.

Students have protested many times against JKSSB for the holding of this exam.

Finally, the JKSSB Graduate level exam was scheduled for April 27 (today) and the admit cards were issued to all the applicants on April 20. Meanwhile, some candidates belonging to Doda district were allotted exam center in Kishtwar district and vice-versa. The Board released a notice along with the list of candidates with the newly allotted exam centers in their respective districts. These candidates were told to appear for the written exam with previously issued admit cards as there was no time for issuing fresh admit cards.

The Graduate level exam was conducted as a single paper in a single shift today. The paper carries 150 marks distributed among following topics:

  • General English – 20 marks
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs – 30 marks
  • General Knowledge with Special Reference to J&K – 25 marks
  • General Science – 25 marks
  • Mental Ability Test – 25 marks
  • Computer Applications- 25 marks

Since the exam has been conducted today, one can expect that the Board pacifies the selection process and announce the results of written exam so that the further selection process can be organized. The Board will assess all the candidates through the written exam and will follow the recruitment rules for finalizing the processes.
