JIPMER admit card for JIPMER MBBS 2017 entrance examination has been released at www.jipmer.edu.in. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) will conduct this entrance examination for admission to it’s Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) courses on June 4, 2017. The medical aspirants who have registered for the JIPMER MBBS entrance 2017 can fetch their respective hall tickets from the JIPMER portal www.jipmer.edu.in. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER) is amongst those institutions which will not offer admission to MBBS course on the basis of NEET. Hence, JIPMER MBBS entrance test for the academic session 2017-18 is scheduled to be held on June 04, 2017 on all India basis for admission to 150 MBBS seats in Puducherry and 50 MBBS seats in Karaikal campus. As a per a Supreme Court’s directive in 2016 on NEET, JIPMER is allowed to conduct its own entrance exam for providing admissions to 200 MBBS seats in its two medical colleges. Last year, a total of 1,09,112 candidates had appeared for JIPMER MBBS exam.
About the JIPMER Entrance Examination – the exam will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) only. The duration of the examination shall be 2½ hours (Two hours and Thirty minutes). JIPMER MBBS entrance exam will be conducted in two shifts: Morning Shift / First shift from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, to be followed by the Afternoon Shift / Second shift from 03:00 PM to 05:30 PM.
The examination shall be conducted in ENGLISH medium ONLY. The Entrance Examination is common to all and consists of 200 single best response type MCQs. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will account for 60 questions each while English Language & Comprehension and Logical & Quantitative Reasoning will have 10 questions each. The questions for JIPMER MBBS Entrance Examination 2017 will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for Class 11 and 12.
Candidates are advised to go through the Mock Test for computer-based test (online examination) which is available on the official website of JIPMER. Each answer with CORRECT RESPONSE shall be awarded FOUR MARKS. NO Marks will be deducted for INCORRECT RESPONSE.
Hall Tickets – JIPMER MBBS Admit Card has been made available for download on the official website for the candidates whose applications was complete in all respects, from May 22, 2017. The hall ticket features Name and date of birth as typed by the candidate in the application, Photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate and Examination City allotted and Roll Number.

Important Instructions: For the aspirants assigned the entrance exam in the first shift, they should report to the respective test centers by 8 am as the entry will be closed at 9.15 am. No candidate will be allowed to take the exam after 9.15 am. For the second shift, the candidates are required to report by 1 pm and the entries will be closed at 2.15 pm.
- The candidates will not be permitted to take any other papers except JIPMER admit card and valid Identity proof and photocopy of the same ID proof.
- Cellular phones, calculators, watch, alarm clocks, digital watches with built-in calculators/ memory, earphones and other electronic gadgets etc. will not be permitted.
- Biometric authentication through digital device and hard copy of signature and fingerprint in attendance sheet will be taken.
Declaration of Result – The list of candidates who qualify for counselling to the M.B.B.S. course would be declared tentatively on or before June 19, 2017. Separate merit list irrespective of the reserved or unreserved category will be published.
Merit List – Merit List would be drawn category wise based on minimum percentile. Unreserved (UR)/OCI/NRI minimum percentile is 50, for Unreserved (UR) – OPH minimum percentile is 45 and for SC / ST / OBC /- OPH minimum percentile is 40. Candidates who secure less than the minimum percentile in the Entrance Examination will NOT be considered for admission and their names will NOT be included in the Merit List.
Counseling – The candidate called for counselling have to report at venue site at the time on the date as stipulated in the Call Letter along with all the required documents. Biometric finger print and image verifications of the candidate will be done on the day of counseling, however, the candidates will have to register themselves prior.
