JEECUP admit card 2017 issued for UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam

The admit cards for JEECUP, the entrance exam for admission to Polytechnic colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh have been uploaded on the official website today by the Council of Joint Entrance Examination, Uttar Pradesh. The JEECUP admit card were initially planned to be issued on April 12 but the council delayed the release. The admit cards have been uploaded few minutes ago by the Council.

Secretary of Joint Entrance Examination Council, F.R Khan had said, “the Council has shuffled many test centers across the State, hence the admit cards were not uploaded on April 12.” The admit cards will be available from April 13 now, he added. The exam will be administered across more than 9000 centers.

JEECUP 2017 (UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam) is scheduled to be held in two shifts on April 23. The exam is meant for admission to Diploma/ Post Diploma/ Post-Graduate Diploma in Engineering, Technology and Management programs in Polytechnic Institutions affiliated to the Board of Technical Education.

UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam is divided into two papers depending on the Groups. Group A covers Engineering/ Technology diploma courses and the paper will be conducted in the first shift from 9 am to 12 noon. The exam of remaining groups – Group B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and K1 to K7 (other courses) will be held in the second shift from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

JEECUP 2017 (Paper 1 & 2) will be conducted as offline tests. Both the papers will have 100 objective type questions, each carrying 4 marks. The negative marking will also be applicable in UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam and 1 mark will be deducted from total score for each wrong response.

The students are advised to get the hold of JEECUP admit card as early as possible and check it carefully. In case of any discrepancy from the originally filled online application form data, the candidates should communicate to UPJEE (Polytechnic) Council immediately for necessary action.

Apart from JEECUP admit card and an identity proof, candidates will be allowed to bring with them a cardboard or a clipboard on which nothing should be written. Any other material, except these, will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
