JEE refers to Joint Entrance Exam. This exam is conducted for admissions in various engineering colleges throughout the country. This is a common exam a conducted for both IITs and other engineering colleges. JEE exam is conducted in two parts. First is JEE Main. Those students who clear this exam become eligible for JEE advanced. This is a great opportunity for students who aspire to get admission in their desired colleges.
In order to appear in the exams, the students must have at least some qualifications to be eligible for the test. These qualifications include following-
Students must have at least 5 subjects in 12th board exams.
The birth date of the candidates should be before 1st October 1990. Five year relaxation is given to SC/ST/PWD candidates.
You should have appears and passed the 12th exam on or after 2013.
A candidate can appear in JEE exam only 3 times.
Application forms will be available from November 7, 2014 to 18th December 2014. They will be available online at www.jeemain.nic.in. They have to be filled and submitted online only. Here is the complete procedure to submit the form:
Go to the official website and register yourself. Keep the password and system generated unique application number safe for future use.
The JEE exam consist of two papers. Candidates may take Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.), or Paper-2 (B. Arch. /B. Planning.), or both according to the course they are seeking admission in. Select the paper for which you want to apply.
Fill all the personal and academic details along with a correct communication address.
Upload the scanned images of photographs, thumb impression and signature. They should be in JPG/JPEG format only. Photograph should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm( 4kb to 40 kb) and thumb impression and signature should be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm(1 kb to 30 kb).
Then you can submit the form. You can take printout of the confirmation page for future use.
Now pay the application fees. Application fee for JEE Main 2015 can be paid in three ways – using credit card, debit card or e-challan of Syndicate Bank/Canara Bank/ICICI Bank.
After fee submission an e-challan is generated. Save a copy of acknowledgement page.
Start date of filling the online application form – 7th November 2014
Last date of applying online application form – 18th December 2014
Last date of selecting the date/slot for computer based examination for paper 1 – 26th December 2014
Final Date of JEE Main 2015 Examination – 4th April 2015 (Offline), 10th & 11th April 2015 for online.
