JEE Advanced Result 2016 on 12th June; Scorecard at jeeadv.ac.in

JEE Advanced 2016: Nearly 1.6 lakh aspirants who took the entrance test will get their result and score card this Sunday.

IIT Guwahati has announced that JEE Advanced result 2016 will be declared later this week on Sunday, 12th June at 10 am on www.jeeadv.ac.in since the process of receiving feedback and comments on answer keys from candidates will end today.

The common merit list/ rank list of JEE Advanced 2016 will be decided taking candidate’s performance in the exam into consideration.

To check results, candidates will be required to go to the official website, that is, jeeadv.ac.in and enter your registration number and date of birth, or the login details.

Answer Keys

The answer keys were displayed online between June 5 to 7 at the official website making students able to know how many answers they got correct in the test and a close of the marks they can expect in the result. The final marks however, will be provided in the individual score card released by the Institute.

All India Rank/Merit List

The category-wise All India ranks of successful candidates will be published on the website after results are out. It must be clear that no individual rank cards will be sent to the candidates and they’re gonna have to check theirs from official site only.

Only the candidates who appeared both for paper I and paper II will be considered for ranking. The marks obtained by the candidate in Physics exam in JEE Advanced 2016 will be equal to the marks scored in Physics part of paper I plus the marks scored in Physics of paper II. The calculation of marks is same of Chemistry and Maths.

The rank list of JEE Advanced will be prepared on the basis of aggregated marks in the exam which is the sum of marks obtained in all three subjects. There’s also the tie-break policy if two candidates score the same marks, according to which the preference will be given to the student who got higher marks in Maths. If the marks are still same, the preference will be given to the one who obtained higher marks in Physics. If the tie doesn’t break then also, both students will be awarded the same rank.

The candidates have to score minimum prescribed marks to be included in the rank list which varies category-wise. The minimum percentage of marks necessary to get included in the rank list is given in the image below:
