Next year, in the month of April, Rajasthan will host its first ‘Education Festival’. While, Rajasthan is known for its various festivals like that of Jaipur Literature Festival, Desert Festival and many others like that. This festival will see academicians and faculty from all over the world.
The 2-day long festival will be organized in April 2017. Teachers from all over the world will get a chance to interact with their fellows and they will also be able to share their experience which would be helpful to all those part of the festival. The State government is also planning to train teachers so that quality of education could be improved.
This event will be organized in collaboration with Gems Education, a Dubai-based education organization. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Gems Education in the month of September. The main aim behind this was to promote education and also to fill the gap that is there. This event will also hold training sessions for teachers and exhibitions as well.
The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje, said, “In Rajasthan, more and more students are getting enrolled in government schools than private schools as the government has taken a lot of initiatives in its three years tenure. The state government is working hard to provide a level-playing field to every student in the state. The condition of government-run schools has improved manifold. The percentage of students getting enrolled in schools has increased so as the pass percentage of students.”
She further added, “A lot of work has been undertaken in the three-year tenure of this government and a lot of initiatives are underway. The government has also started placing photos of teachers on the school walls so that students can recognize their teachers by face.” We all know that one teacher can change the life of a student.
The Group President of Gems Education and Educationist, Amreesh A Chandra said that 10 best teachers from Rajasthan will be felicitated in Dubai. By doing this, they will get a very good opportunity where they will be interacting with the students. They will also be able to share their experiences with the students. This organization will adopt 50 Adarsh and Utkarsh Vidyalayas to fill the infrastructure gap.
