The India Post Payments Bank has declared the results of the PO Prelims exam, thus releasing the list of shortlisted candidates for the Main exam. The prelims exam was held on 7 & 8 January, while the IPPB Scale 1 main exam is scheduled to be held on 29 January 2017.
As per the official report, 6739 candidates have been shortlisted based on the performance in the prelims exam. The merit list has been made available on the official website, fetch it here. The Bank is expected to announce the IPPB Scale 1 cut off marks soon. The facility to check the scores of prelims exam will also be availed soon.
IPPB Mains exam will consist of total 200 questions distributed among five sections: Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude. While the total time for the exam would be 140 minutes, the candidates will be allotted time section-wise.
The applications were filled from October 4 to 25, 2016 for IPPB Assistant Manager recruitment. Going by the pre-notified selection procedure, the IPPB has already conducted the preliminary examination. The remaining two parts are the main examination to be followed by an interview. While the preliminary exam was administered across 212 cities, the test centers for the main exam are limited.
The candidates are well aware with the examination process and are required to carry their respective admit card as well as a photo-identity proof at the time to the main exam.
IPPB is holding the recruitment exercise for filling 650 Assistant Manager Scale 1 Officer posts and the selection would be done on the basis of combined performance in the main exam and interview.
The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) would take shape as the first PSU under the Department of Posts. The Bank is scheduled to commence its operations from this year and hence is currently holding recruitment exercises to fill around 1,700 posts under Scale-1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 cadres.
