IIT Bombay has also provided the Mock examination facility to help the candidates prepare for Online examination.

IIT JAM admit card has been issued today by the organizing Institute – Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. The IIT Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (IIT JAM 2018) will be conducted by IIT Bombay on February 11 and the admit cards have been released today, as notified by the Institute. The applicants can now download IIT JAM admit card from the official portal www.jam.iitb.ac.in. The candidates can also take the Mock examination to prepare for the test.

JAM exam is being held each year from 2004 for admissions to M.Sc. (Four Semesters), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, etc. Programs at the IITs and Integrated Ph.D. Degree Programs at IISc. These postgraduate programs at IITs and IISc give high-quality education in their respective disciplines. Each year, one of the IITs takes up the responsibility for holding JAM exam. This year, JAM 2018 will be conducted by IIT Bombay in February. The online applications for IIT JAM 2018 were submitted from September 5 to October 17.

IIT JAM 2018 will be conducted as a computer-based test in 65 test cities in overall 8 Institutes. JAM 2018 will be conducted on 11th February in 2 sessions- Session I from 9 am to 12 noon and Session II from 2 pm to 5 pm. The Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), and Mathematical Statistics (MS) papers will be held in 1st session and Biological Sciences (BL), Mathematics (MA) and Physics (PH) papers will be held in the 2nd session.

The candidates are required to carry JAM admit card and original valid photo-identity proof to the exam center. Biometric system of verification will be used in all the test centers. While the candidates will have to mark the answers in the computer, the scribble pads will be provided to them in the exam hall by the invigilators for rough work. The candidates will have to return the scribble pads to the invigilator after the end of exam.

The candidates must refrain from carrying mobile phones, wristwatches, calculators, other electronic devices, printed or hand-written textual materials inside the exam hall. IIT Bombay will declare the JAM result on 20th March 2018. On the basis of performance in JAM 2018, for each test paper, separate merit lists will be prepared for General, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, SC, ST, and PwD category candidates.
