IIMC announced results for PG diploma entrance exam 2016

IIMC has announced results of its entrance exam held last month. The details of result were published on www.iimc.nic.in late in the night yesterday.

IIMC results of entrance examination for PG diploma courses 2016-2017 were to be announced on 24th June evening, but hasn’t been so far and it’s night. IIMC entrance exam 2016 results are expected by tomorrow morning now on June 25.

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication offers various media programmes at the post graduate level, for which the entrance test is organized by the institute to select meritorious students. For admissions to the upcoming academic session, the institute conducted the entrance test on May 29 & 30. Upon successful completion of the test, the Institute said the results would be announced on June 22. Later a fresh date, i.e. June 24 was notified by the institute for the publication of result. The official notification posted in official website www.iimc.nic.in dated June 22 mentioned “Entrance Examination Result for PG Diploma Courses 2016-17 will be announced on 24th June 2016 Evening”. However, the results have not been announced yet, which has left around 5 thousand students in a confused state.

The entrance test was conducted in five shifts for PG diploma courses of Journalism Hindi/English, Radio and TV journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Odia journalism, and diploma course in journalism (Urdu).

The institute was established in 1969, operating under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. Along with Delhi, the institute has opened five new centres, namely, Dhenkanal in Orissa, Aizawl in Mizoram, Amravati in Maharashtra, Jammu in Jammu & Kashmir and Kottayam in Kerala.

IIMC Result should have been announced by now as the official notification mentioned, but the same has not been done. The institute has not notified any update too, causing much trouble for the students as they were waiting for their results since evening.

Once declared, the institute would put up the result in its official web portal so that students can check their status. The result publication will be accompanied by the merit list, one general merit list for all students and another for reserved category candidates. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for group discussion and interview round. Further schedule would also be put up on the Institute’s website after the publication of results.
