Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Admit Card are now available for download for the PG diploma course entrance scheduled to be held on May 27 and 28, 2017. While the Odia/Urdu/Marathi/Malyalam Journalism is scheduled to be held on May 27, 2017 from 9 am to 11 am while Journalism Hindi/English, Radio & TV Journalism and Advertising & Public Relations are scheduled for May 28, 2017.
The candidates can download the entrance exam admit card by filling in the unique registered id, applicants name, date of birth, captcha. The official website is www.iimc.nic.in. Once downloaded candidates should take the print out of the same and keep it safe till you secure admission in the desired college. Offline Applicants need to select the course, enter Date of Birth, Mobile No. or Application No. correctly.
All candidates should bring with them HB Pencil and Eraser etc. for the entrance examination. If any candidate does not have/misplaced the unique ID number, then he/She may contact us immediately at 011-26742069 between 10 am to 5 pm from Monday to Saturday. Candidates on the admit card should look for important details of the exam such as date and time, examination center, candidate’s roll number, and other credentials are printed in the IIMC Entrance Exam 2017 admit card.
Indian Institute of Mass Communication offers admission into PG Diploma courses through the IIMC Entrance Exam. Sale of the application form begin on April 03, 2017 and the last date for sale and receipt of application form was May 05, 2017. The written entrance examination will be held on an all-India basis at New Delhi, Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Aizawl (Mizoram), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Bhopal (MP), Chennai (TN), Guwahati (Assam), Jammu and Srinagar (J&K), Hyderabad (AP & Telangana), Kolkata (W.B.), Kochi (Kerala) Lucknow (U.P.), Mumbai, Nagpur (Maharashtra), Patna (Bihar), Ranchi (Jharkhand) and Raipur (Chattisgarh). Entrance Examination of Journalism (Odia) will be held at Bhubaneswar, Journalism (Marathi) at Mumbai and Nagpur; Journalism (Malayalam) at Kochi and Journalism (Urdu) at New Delhi/ Bhopal/ Jammu/Hyderabad/Kolkata/Lucknow/Mumbai.
Selection Process: Candidates who have appeared in the written examination will be ranked on the basis of the marks obtained. A shortlist based on merit will be prepared for each of the courses (including a separate shortlist for the reserved seats in each course). The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview/group discussion during the last week of June/first week of July 2017 in New Delhi.
If a sizeable number of candidates apply for admission to Regional Campuses on first preference basis, the interview may be conducted at the concerned Regional Campus or any other city in the region. The candidates will be informed about the venue before the interview.
The list of candidates to be admitted to the courses will be prepared on the basis of the combined marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and in the interview /group discussion. The weightage for the written examination and the interview / group discussion will be 85:15.
