Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow popularly known as IIM-L comes under the category of preferred recruitment destination for marketing, finance and consulting roles in the country. Once again, for the second year in a row, IIM Lucknow has kept up with the trend of record breaking placements. This year too, the institute has achieved cent per cent summer placements thereby making itself equivalent to other premier institutions of India.

As compared to last year IIT Kharagpur witnessed 55 per cent rise in PPOs with 142 offers this year while it was 92 last year. The main reason behind rising PPOs is that some banking and financial companies have made a comeback this year after a gap of a year or two. Few such companies are : JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Barclays at Madras and Kharagpur.
In just four days time, IIM Lucknow has witnessed an increase of 28 per cent in the placement drive as compared to previous years. Big giants who participated in the placement drive include Flipkart, Deloitte, IBM, Accenture, Cipla, ICICI bank, P&G, Amazon, Reliance Industries, Cognizant, McKinsey, HUL, HSBC, BCG, ABG and American Express. Sales and marketing, finance, consulting and business development including some extremely sought after and niche profiles in the finance domain were among the top four segments based on which candidates were recruited.
