It was also confirmed by the sources that half of 60 seats of the first batch were vacant as only 30 students had opted IIM Gaya for their management studies. Sources were also of the view that very less students opting to study in IIM Gaya was due to high cut off marks and hesitancy of good quality students to opt for new institute. This might also be the reason that the new management institute in Gaya would have shortage in teaching faculty and during campus recruitment major job providers would hesitate to take students from new institute. MR Israil Khan informed, no girl student had preferred IIM Gaya.
