Indian Institute of Management, Ahemdabad notified the dates and revised pattern for Common Aptitude test 2015 in its notification dated 6 August. While the registration began following the same day onward, the institute has introduced slight changes in the exam pattern and there is a hope that the new procedure would even help the non-engineering students to apply for the exam. The new question pattern would comprise of total 3 sections that are as follows:
- Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
- Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)

So, the candidates need to get a better preparation to crack the exam eliminating all the hurdles. This particular pattern would be beneficial from the students from the areas and they would not face any difficulties solving the paper.
Instructions to Follow
Here are given the points that would help the student to solve the paper easily free from any hazards:
- Candidates would not be able to switch from one section to another during the exam
- Earlier the exam time span was 170 minutes but this year it has been increased to 180 minutes
- Exam would be conducted in two slots that would be held on a single day
- Online registration has been opened from yesterday and the candidates can begin registering their names to become eligible for the CAT exam
Hence, you should visit the official website of CAT where you can even get access to a video revealing the important features about the registration process. While going for online registration you would get maximum 30 minutes in a single sitting to fill out the application form. However, if you fail to complete the process within the mentioned duration you can save the data and have to log in once again in order to continue the registration. IIT Ahmadabad is carrying out the entire registration process online and a fees of Rs. 1600 has been fixed that the candidates have to pay during registration. You need to use Debit or Credit Cards/Net Banking to make the deposit completing the registration successfully.

During registration, candidates would have to choose the destination amid the 136 centers with about 650 testing areas. You can select up to 4 cities where you prefer to sit for the exam. Female candidates would acknowledge the center at the city area that would help them to take the test along with ultimate inspiration. This may even increase the attendance and no candidates would stay away taking the test. In this respect, it’s revealed that in the previous year 10% candidates were marked absent from the exam and it’s expected to reduce that percentage this year.
Finally, after you complete the registration you would be entitled to receive the admit card from 15th October 2015 onwards.
