IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) is going to conduct the admission test for its prestigious two-years full-time MBA programme on November 27, 2016. Around 60 thousand aspirants apply for the IIFT entrance exam every year, while a total of 360 seats are offer at two campuses of the Institute (220 seats at Delhi Campus, 140 seats at Kolkata Campus). The admit cards for the entrance exam are sent through post to all the applicants, however, if any candidate do not receives his/her admit card by November 15, he/she can download the same from IIFT website.
The entrance exam would be taken as a pen-paper test across 20 selected cities including Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.
The IIFT entrance exam would consist of around 130 questions divided among four section namely, English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis. The maximum marks for the entrance exam would be 100, while negative marking would also be applicable. The exam would be conducted in one shift of two hours from 10 am to 12 noon. The candidates have been advised by the Institute to reach their respective exam venue by 9 am along with their admit card and a valid ID proof.
The applicants would be screened on the basis of entrance exam for further selection process that includes group discussion, essay writing and interview. The GD, Essay writing and interview would be organised at 7 cities only – Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
The admit cards for IIFT entrance exam 2016 would be made available at IIFT website from November 15 and can be accessed by using the registration number and other details.
