Update: ICSE results 2017 are now out at the official website www.cisce.org. If the CISCE website does not open, students can also check their results at Indiaresults.com.
The Council of the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), the national level private board of school education in India has declared the results of it’s Indian Certificate for Secondary Education (ICSE) examinations 2017 today at 3 PM. The exact date and time of ICSE results 2017 declaration was confirmed by the CISCE board on Saturday through it’s website (www.cisce.org), following the board’s statement from previous week that it will notify the announcement details two days in advance. And so, after nearly two weeks of delays and uncertain reports, ICSE results 2017 were finally declared today. It was on May 14 when the result of ICSE examinations were first rumoured to be declared but we all know how it turned out, and seriously, that was the fluke that may have caused CISCE to shed some light on the result declaration.
ICSE result 2017 can now be checked at the official portal of the CISCE board at www.cisce.org. At 3 pm, when ICSE results are out, students should be ready with their credentials they will be required to access the result and score card. Students’ roll number and other details maybe required to check the results, however, other provisions are also available when it comes to checking of marks. Students can also get their marks at their mobile phones by sending a sms to 09248082883, typing ICSE followed by the roll number. To get the results through e-mail, students can register at third party websites, to name a few – Indiaresults.com and Examresults.com.
ICSE examination 2017 were conducted from March 10, 2017 with English Language paper 1 being the first examination, and ended on April 21, 2017 with Environmental Science (group 2 elective) being the last subject paper. Over 1.7 lakh students are reported to have taken ICSE examinations this year, a slight growth from last year’s 1.68 lakh students. No doubt on the quality of education being imparted in schools affiliated with CISCE, the board which is normally touted for being student-friendly, had an overall pass percentage of 98.44% in last year’s board examinations.
The expectations are high that board will achieve the same feat this year. More so, the students studying under CISCE affiliated schools hold a special perk when it comes to study abroad. Since the board’s syllabus is largely inspired by that of United Kingdom’s (by Cambridge University), many of topmost universities in foreign countries, especially UK, accept ISC students with good grades, easily. The board’s syllabi is also top notch when it comes to English language skills which can be further useful to the tests like IELSTS and TOEFL.
Note that from this year onward, CISCE will be making the digitally signed copies of ICSE results marks sheet available online to the students through the DigiLocker facility, availed by the Department of Elections and Information Technology. Student’s mobile number will be required to avail this facility. More about Digital marks sheet facility here.
