RRB assistant mains admit card released: IBPS

The admit cards for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) RRB office assistant (multipurpose) mains exam 2016 have been issued to candidates on Monday evening. The candidates who were declared qualified to take the mains exam can access the Office Assistant admit card from official website www.ibps.in. The admit cards will remain available till the exam date, however, it is advised that the candidates should fetch their respective admit card as soon as possible.

IBPS will be conducting the RRB Clerk Office Assistant Mains exam on December 18, 2016. The preliminary exam was held on November 12, 13 & 19, while the results were announced on November 28. The results of prelims exam will remain available till December 6, so it can be expected that the score card, marks of all candidates will become available from tomorrow itself.

The Common Recruitment Process (CWE RRB-V) was notified by the IBPS for recruitment to the posts of Officer Scale-I, II & III along with Office Assistant (Multipurpose). There are as much as 8,824 posts of Office Assistants notified under the recruitment, hence several lakh candidates had applied for the same. While the prelims test has already resulted in the screening of candidates, the mains exam is the final stepping stone between the aspirants and the job offer. There will be no interviews for the posts of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and the candidates will be given provisional allotment on the basis of their performance in the main exam. The provisional allotment process would be completed in February 2018.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant Main exam would consist of five sections, each section having 40 questions. These sections are : Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English / Hindi language and Computer Knowledge. The candidates will be given 2 hours to solve all 200 objective type questions. The candidates are required to obtain minimum qualifying marks in each section (test) to be considered to be shortlisted for provisional allotment. Overall, the main exam holds the weightage of 200 marks, while the maximum marks in each section differ.
