IBPS RRB 2017 notification has been published today by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection and along with it, the annual process of recruitment in Banks has commenced today. IBPS has released the official notification today, but the application process would commence from July 24. IBPS will be holding the common recruitment process to fill around 15,091 vacancies in 56 Participating RRBs, which includes around 8 thousand vacancies of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and around 5 thousand vacancies of Officer Scale-I. IBPS has started the Common Recruitment Process for Recruitment of Group -A Officers (Scale-I II & III) and Group -B Office Assistant (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) under CRP RRB VI. The candidates can check their eligibility for the posts from the official notification and based on it, they can apply for multiple posts. The candidates can apply for both Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer posts, however, they can apply for only 1 post in Officer Cadre. The online applications for IBPS RRB 2017 exam can be filled from July 24 to August 14.
The application fee for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates for single post is Rs. 100, and Rs. 600 for others. The fee can be paid only through online mode and also, the application process is completely online.
IBPS will hold the examination in online mode for all the posts. While the applicants of Officer (Scale II & III) posts will be screened through single exam, the Office Assistant and Officer Scale I exams will be conducted in two phases – Preliminary and Main Exam. In case of Office cadre recruitment, based on the performance of the candidates in the Main exam or single exam, IBPS will conduct the Interviews. There will be no interviews for the post of Office Assistant and the candidates will be selected only on the basis of online exam (main).

Preliminary Exam – Office Assistant: 17, 23 & 24 September
Main Exam – Officer (Scale I, II & III): November 5

The exam dates mentioned above have been notified by IBPS, but are tentative and may be revised. IBPS will also provide pre-examination training to a limited number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled tribes/ Minority communities/ Ex-Servicemen/ Persons with Benchmark Disabilities so as to familiarize them with the online examination process.
After the completion of main exam, the interviews of Group A Officers will be organized tentatively in the month of December. On the completion of selection process (online exam and interview), candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the RRBs, based on merit-cum-preference. The allotments will be made in the month of January for all the posts.
