Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the preliminary online exam call letter for common recruitment process for PO/MT VII. Candidates who have registered for the IBPS PO/MT VII exam are hereby informed that the Commencement of Call letter Download has begun on September 21, 2017, and Closure of Call letter Download will take place on October 14, 2017. The IBPS PO/MT VII examinations are scheduled for October 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2017. The institute is conducting the examination for recruitment of 3,562 probationary officers/management trainees within the partner banks.
Candidates can download the admit card by visiting the official website of IBPS. Once there, follow the link to download call letter. At the login page, enter the Registration No / Roll No and Password / DOB (dd-mm-yy) at the required places to download the Call Letter. IBPS PO pre-exam training for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Minority Communities will begin on 23 September. Admit cards for the same can be downloaded online, as well.
Call Letter Will Be Surrendered: Candidates are advised to bring call letter along with the photo identity proof in original and a photocopy along with them when they go to the venue for the examination. Write your Roll No. & Registration No. on the photocopy of photo identity proof. You will be required to put your left thumb impression clearly and sign clearly in the respective spaces provided on your call letter in the presence of the invigilator in the examination hall. You should hand over your call letter along with the photocopy of the photo identity proof duly stapled together to the invigilator in the examination hall when he/she collects the call letters.
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. A number of questions in the English Language will be 30 while in Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability it will be 35 each. Maximum marks in the English Language will be 30 while in Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability it will be 35 each.
The candidates shall be required to qualify in each test as per cut-off marks determined in each test. Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score on each of the tests as well as on the Total to be considered to be shortlisted for Main Examination. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cutoffs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for Main Examination.
Out of the 20 participating banks, this year, only 9 are recruiting: Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central bank of India, Corporation Bank, UCO Bank and Union Bank of India. Out of the total number of vacancies available for recruitment, maximum is in Canara Bank (1350) followed by Andhra Bank (625) and UCO Bank (530). Corporation Bank has no vacancies reserved for OBC category. Sample paper is also available online at the official website of IBPS.
