IBPS 2016 PO Exam: Recruitment Notification Sets Application Deadline For August 13

IBPS 2016 PO exam will be held in October as the recruitment notification has been released by The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), (CWE PO/MT-VI) for Probationary Officers (PO)/management trainees posts in various public sector banks and other participating organisations. All the interested candidates would need to go through a selection process which includes a preliminary and main examination followed by an interview. The online registration process will begin on July 26 and will end on August 13, 2016.

  • 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
  • 600 /- for all others

The online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process for selection of personnel for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in the Participating Organisations is tentatively scheduled to be held on October 16, 22 and 23, 2016, respectively. The results of the preliminary examination will be declared in November. The online main exam will be held on November 20 and its result will be declared in December. The interview will be held in January/February 2017, and the provisional allotment to the selected candidates will take place in April 2017.

The IBPS CWE PO/MT-VI as usual will be held in two stages:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination- In this, the candidates will be required to answer questions based on English Language (30 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions) and Reasoning Ability (35 questions). Duration of the exam will be 1 hour. Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.

Stage 2: Main Examination- In this, the candidates will be required to answer questions based on Reasoning (50 questions), English Language (40 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions), General Awareness (40 questions) and Computer Knowledge (20 questions). Duration of the exam will be 140 minutes. Candidates who will be shortlisted in the main examination for CWE PO/MT-VI will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centres.
