IBPS Clerk result 2017 has been announced now for the Clerk Preliminary examination held earlier this month. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) had conducted Clerk Prelims exam on 2, 3, 9 & 10 December and the results have been announced today. The candidates can check their IBPS Clerk prelims result 2017 status from the official website www.ibps.in.
IBPS had notified the Common Recruitment Process for Clerical Cadre (CRP Clerks VII) in August and the online applications for IBPS Clerk 2017 were filled from September 12 to October 3. For all the eligible applicants, IBPS conducted the preliminary examination in December and the result has been declared today. The candidates who obtained marks more than the IBPS Clerk cut off 2017 have been shortlisted to appear for the Mains exam.
IBPS Clerk prelims result 2017 can be checked by logging in to the IBPS website www.ibps.in. The result will remain available until January 4, hence the candidates have ample time to know their result status. The candidates who have crossed the cut-off marks criteria, will be issued the call letters for the Mains exam.
IBPS Clerk Prelims 2017 exam was conducted as a single paper comprising of 100 objective-type questions. The questions were framed under three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability and each question carried 1 mark. As per the selection process of IBPS, the candidates who have scored marks more than the cut-off marks in each of three tests will now have to take the Main exam. IBPS will conduct Clerk Mains exam on January 21, 2018.
IBPS will fill around 7,883 vacancies in Clerical Cadre for 19 Banks. The vacancies are distributed state-wise and the final merit will be prepared on the basis of the candidates’ marks in the Mains exam. Those who qualify the Mains exam will be allotted to the Bank of their choice, depending on the merit. The provisional allotments under IBPS CRP Clerks VII will be announced in April 2018.
